About Real Estate Finance Academy
Real Estate Finance Academy was founded in 2018 by Trevor Calton, a longtime veteran of commercial real estate & mortgage banking since 1997, with deep experience in real estate finance, commercial real estate acquisitions, financial analysis, mortgage loan underwriting, investment sales, capital markets, and asset management.
During his career, Trevor has analyzed, sold, or acquired thousands of commercial real estate assets totaling over $5 billion. He has overseen the management of more than 6000 units of multifamily housing, and underwritten billions of dollars of commercial mortgage loans.
Trevor was also a Professor of Real Estate Finance in the Masters of Real Estate program at Portland State University from 2011-2019. He has trained thousands of real estate agents, investors, mortgage lenders, and other professionals in the analysis of real estate investments.
Trevor is the recipient of numerous awards, including the United States Presidential Service Award, the Business Journal's 'Forty Under 40' Award, Bank of America‘s ’Local Hero’ award, and many others. He earned both his Bachelor's degree and MBA from the University of Oregon, and in his spare time, he still speaks regularly to universities, non-profits, and professional associations, teaching career-building and development workshops throughout the United States.
